Letter to my patients: Lakshmi Myneni, M.D.

Special announcement: CDC Shelter in Place

Monday, March 23, 2020

Letter to my patients:

These are extraordinary times.

The Covid-19 virus has caused the state of California to declare a State of Emergency on March 4, 2020.

As a Medical Office, we can continue to operate in a safe manner. We are trying to do our best to serve our patients’ interests.

In order to do our part, it is with great difficulty I have made the decision to close new patient registrations starting Tuesday, March 24th, 2020 until April 7th, 2020. As the time gets close to the first week of April, we may revisit the risks and benefits of reopening on this date.

In addition, in order to protect our patients from unnecessary travel and exposure we are not mandating in-person visits for the duration of the State of Emergency (till April 7th, 2020).

We will continue to serve our existing patients in the following ways:

Medication refills will continue. Please send us requests online or through your Pharmacy. You may also call and leave us a message.

Infusions will be rescheduled if it is deemed safe to do so and if the patient agrees.

Injections for bone health will be rescheduled if it is deemed safe to do so and if the patient agrees.

Authorizations for existing treatments will continue to be renewed. We may request that you schedule a tele-visit in lieu of an in-person visit.

Lab requests and standing orders will be renewed online and through telephone.

We are working to provide Video and telephone visits (starting soon) for those who need or want this option during the course of this pandemic.

Billing services will continue to be available through PACE at their phone number (559 432 5570)

Dr. Myneni is available during Office hours through the front desk during her Office hours.

You can reach an On-Call Physician after-hours or when Dr. Myneni is not available by dialing

(650)969-7006.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during these difficult times. Please stay safe by observing the safety protocols issued by the State and Federal authorities. We look forward to seeing you in person, hopefully soon when this pandemic is no longer a threat to our society.

Best Regards,

Lakshmi Myneni MBBS, FACP, FACR
